There is a file when I open my computer task manager called
"Libcab.exe". Does anyone know what program this file is associated
with? While running it really slows down the speed of my computer.

amf124...

If you've spelled it correctly, it's probably a virus, since it
doesn't show up anywhere on the internet.

Things to do:

- Run a virus scan on the file.

- Do a search for it in Windows Explorer and see where it's
located. The parent directory(s) may tell you what program
  it's associated with.

Let me know where this takes you...

1. Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up).
2. Open the task manager
3. kill libcab.exe
4. open windows explorer
5. Make sure you can see hiden files and folders
(tools-->folder options--> view --> "show hidden files and folders)
6: Find and delete C:\WINNT\addins\libcab.exe
