Gus Kahn's "Josephine" is one of the songs performed by Adrian Rollini on this CD. However, it's instrumental, with no lyrics: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009V10QI |

Problem solved! Get the Instrumental CD PLUS a copy of the Sheet Music that includes Gus Kahn's words and produce your own version! Your Grand-Daddy will appreciate it all the more. |

You can try the clip of the song on this recording listed on Amazon (CD format; available through several sellers). It uses Real Player, and I had trouble with it on my first try, but was able to listen to the clip on the second try. It is definitely a vocal version, if this is the song you want (see below for the original source of info that cites this as a Kahn song). http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000005H5W/ref=sr_11_1/002-3254549-8647221?%5Fencoding=UTF8 There are two copies available on half.com, from reliable sellers for a lower price here: http://product.half.ebay.com/_W0QQprZ3046101QQcpidZ1682984 I found the reference to this version of the song via a playlist that came up in my original Google search, which identifies this particular song as Kahn's (relevant info in caps): Tonight?s Jazz Retrospective FEATURES LYRICIST GUS KAHN [omitted: playlist for 10-11 p.m.; same feature] 11 p.m. Rosemary Clooney w. P.S. If this is "it," one of the sellers on half.com offers expedited shipping. If cost is not a barrier, you could likely have the cd in hand by Father's Day if you can order it today or tomorrow. |
