Greetings, Bubbe!

Here is a link to Randy Pausch's home page:

Photos of some of Randy's imaginative sewing projects may be found
here:

It does not appear that Randy Pausch is selling patterns of his sewing
creations. Since he has a new baby, I would imagine that his stuffed
animal projects will have a special focus at this time!

I have found several cute elephant and giraffe patterns for you. The
dimensions of the finished products are given in the descriptions
below:

"This is a complete PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage pattern to make a Stuffed
Elephant and Monkey. The envelope doesn't have a copyright date but I
think it dates to the very early 1900s. What a treasure!!! To give you
an idea of its size, the monkey measures 14" tall and the elephant
measures 12-1/2" tall by 15-1/4" long when complete. I include an
enlarged black and white copy of the front of the pattern envelope,
which has the instructions on it and the picture of the elephant and
monkey, and a complete copy of the pattern."

"This is a PHOTOCOPY of a 1936 Vintage pattern to make three sets of
Mother & Baby Stuffed Animals: Horses, Giraffes and Elephants. This
pattern would be wonderful to make out of all the reproduction
1930s/depression era prints that are in the fabric stores these days.
To give you an idea of size, the Mother Horse is 10" high, the Colt is
6" high, the Mother Giraffe is 14 ½" high, the Baby Giraffe is 8"
high, the Mother Elephant is 9 ¼" high, and the Baby Elephant is 5 ½"
high. I include a COLOR copy of the front cover and black and white
copies of the back cover and the complete pattern."

"This is a PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage pattern to make a very cute stuffed
Elephant toy. It measures about 12 ½" tall when complete. I include a
black and white copy of the instructions and the complete pattern,
with ENLARGED instructions (for those of us who need that kind of
thing!)"

"This is a PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage pattern to make a Stuffed Animal Toy
of an Elephant & Camel. To give you an idea of size, the camel is 17"
high and 18" long; the elephant is about 15" high and 22" long. I
include a COLOR printout copy of the front cover and black and white
copies of the back cover, instructions and the complete pattern."

"This is a PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage mail order pattern to make three
soft cuddly animals: a Giraffe, a Lamb and a Puppy Dog. "Cuddle Toys"
are basically flat, with a front and a back, and attached ears and
appliquéd features. To give you an idea of size, the Giraffe measures
about 15" tall, the Lamb measures 10" tall and the Puppy measures 8 ½"
tall when complete. I include a black and white copy of the
instructions and the complete pattern, with ENLARGED instructions (for
those of us who need that kind of thing!)."

"This is a complete PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage 1943 pattern to make 8
stuffed animal toys: Lion, Giraffe, Elephant, Donkey, Bear, Faun,
Camel and Horse. The body of each toy is made using two pieces and
then adding on the ears and embroidery for the facial features and
distinctive body markings. To give you an idea of size, the giraffe is
10 inches high and the rest of the animals are from 7 ½ to 8 inches
high. "

You might want to consider using patterns from a book. My aunt has
made several charming stuffed animals using patterns from "Beautiful
Animal Dolls: Handcrafts to Treasure." Included in the book are
designs for a lion, an elephant, a frog, a rooster, a rabbit, and a
bear:

My Google search strategy:

"randy pausch" + "sewing"

"patterns" + "stuffed" + "animals"

"patterns" + "stuffed" + "elephant"

"patterns" + "stuffed" + "giraffe"

I hope this helps! If these items do not meet your needs, please
request clarification before rating my answer.
