I'm looking for the proper translation of the phrase "words are not enough"

I refer to words as it sounds: any words, spoken or written, being insufficient.

The most idiomatic translation would be: verba parum sunt.

Hi tritus -ga

The most idiomatic translation is: verba parum sunt.

Verba non sufficiunt, as given in the comment, is not incorrect, but
the more classical expression is the one I have given above.

I might go with:

"Verba non satis sunt" or "Verba non satis" (in which the "to be" verb
is understood.) or possibly "Verba non sufficiunt" (I think I've got
that last verb form right, but am not certain...)
