Clarification of Question by hes6c-ga on 30 Jun 2006 09:25 PDT
Just for clarity's sake, an answer to this question would not include
all of the markets I've listed. A complete answer to this question
would be a 36 item price survey for each of Target SuperCenter,
Wal-Mart Supercenter, and an Albertsons for any ONE of the markets
(within a one week period just for comparability's sake). I'm not sure
which researchers live where, so that's why I listed all of the
markets. So, I would pay $100 for a researcher who lived in San
Francisco, for example, to go to these three stores in his market and
get the prices for 36 items in each of the stores. I figure the
researcher could just do this stuff in his/her normal shopping
patterns. I hope this clarifies my question. If it doesn't, please let
me know. Thanks!

Just a free comment. I guess some or most of the pricing information
can be found on the websites (I checked one), but it looks like a
laborious task to find the items, not to mention identifying competing
stores in each area.

You would have a better chance of getting answers if you post a
question for each geographical area, thus allowing a Researcher to
answer for just one area.
Since only one answer can be posted to a question, an answer to this
question would have to be complete for all stores and areas, a
frightening task.

Yes, this would cost more, but you could start with one question for
some amount and see if anyone is interested. Researchers will tell
you if they think the price is too low.

If you go this route, you might say how time sensitive the data is;
i.e., if the price data all need to be collected within a certain
period, say, two weeks, for comparability.

Good luck.

Hey, that makes the project a lot more realistic. This comment will
bring it back to the top of deck. Hope a Researcher takes it on.
Good luck.
