I'm looking for two very short mini videos/films. The first is decades old, perhaps it is still available or there is a remake. It shows a map of the world on the screen and each frame advances the representation of the world?s population at any given tine by black dots for each estimated 10,000 population. The time line is taken back to prehistory and the viewer sees a time line at the bottom of the screen move as the centuries pass and the dot groupings grow in number. And such things as the black plague and the immigration into North America, first across the Bering Sea and later across the Atlantic, changes the population. In just the last few second the screen goes rapidly almost black as the effect of the recent world populations are depicted. The effect was impressive and lasting and 'd like to have that film to share. The second is from several years ago and saw on a TV video show. It ashows a comical piece using the technique of a guy who can memorize a song backwards and walking backwards. He is then filmed walking down the street and jumping into a pool while singing backwards . The film is reversed and the guy is seen coming out of the pool and singing normally but while waking normally and those around him are walking backwards. Someone with short film archive expertise ? this should be an easy one!! |

This certainly seems close - but the film I am looking for, I saw in about 1975. |

Note that "Our World 2000," the film which I mentioned, was made in 1965. |
