I want to take a look at 2 to 3 sucessful shopping malls in some
developed cities in North America and Asia.

I want to find out three things about these malls.

1. See whether there are opinion polls voting for the top malls in that city
2. Parameters used for assessing the malls
3. Traffic flow of shopping malls

Thank you.

I will also add a generous tip if this question is done within the
next day or so since I need it as soon as possible.

Also if you can also maybe find a tiering of the different malls...
that would be great.

Thanks!

Hello infestma-ga,

Here is a list of the world?s largest shopping malls.

http://www.easternct.edu/depts/amerst/Malls.htm

I?m not clear about what you?re looking for when you say ?I want to
look at 2 to 3 successful shopping malls in some developed cities in
North America and Asia? because of your three questions.

Are you asking us to find a city/location with 2-3 malls and then some
way of ranking those malls in the same city? (?1. See whether there
are opinion polls voting for the top malls in that city.?

When you ask for ?2. Parameters for assessing the malls? are you
looking for general criteria for assessing malls? Are you looking for
surveys that are conducted by particular cities? Are you looking for
size, traffic, income valuations? Please say more about what you?re
looking for on this question.

You also ask about ?3. Traffic flow of shopping malls.? What is your
question about traffic flow? What information should we locate to
answer this question?

Shopping malls are booming all over the world. The more you can tell
us about the context of your question, the greater the likelihood that
we will be able to get you the information you need.

I look forward to your clarification.

Basicly I want to know what makes the top malls of the cities so
"top". I want to know what are the parameters, meaning the things the
malls have that make it so great. Not just being the largest mall in
the city or country. But being the best mall in terms of sale per
square feet, traffic handle, annual visitors, etc. A ranking like
this would be preferred. Thank you.

Hello Infestma,
It seems that parameters for judging mall quality for the moment could
not be found on the public domain at this time. I'm not sure if there
is a standard set for judging such, as malls by nature are subjective
to the clientele. Review sites, if there are any, might be the most
available, despite their subjectivity. Safety and traffic (crowd size)
standards are the only standards I can think of yet, though they are
standards for building and not judging malls. Let's hope something
turns up later on.

Just a free comment. This is the most impressive mall I have seen anywhere.
Moscow is not North America or Asia, of course, but this place is all
upmarket shops, marble and brass.

(The GUM department store in Moscow is actually a mall and not a
department store; the shops are independent, a much oversized version
of "arcades" in London, such as the Burlington Arcade.)

Here is another shopping complex in Bangkok:

I know you are asking for detailed information, but perhaps this can
inspire someone.

Perhaps one mall you would like to consider would be the SM Mall of
Asia located in Manila, Philippines, as is it one of the largest malls
of Asia. The Mall chain, known only as SM, is the largest mall chain
in the country.

I couldn't find yet though the kind of information you are looking for above.
