I would like a history of Spring Lake the site is in Houston,Texas
giving the size, depth, deaths in the lake,  and stories about the
currents and problems that prohibit swimming in the lake.
It is between Hammerly Blvd and Carousel Lane bordering on north and
south.  It is bordered on east and west by Hollister Rd. and Mc Kean
Dr. in Spring Branch in Houston, Texas

Aquarena Springs was once a thriving park dedicated to education of
the natural eco-system and the San Marcos Spring. Built around Spring
Lake, this small park contained several attractions like the Glass
Bottom Boat Rides, Sky Tower, Swiss Skyride, Submarine Theater and
educational exhibts. The park closed in 1994, when Southwest Texas
State University purchased it for biological research. The remains of
the park are still accessible to this day for free. The Glass Bottom
Boats still operate for a small fee
