I need a high-school senior level Advanced Placement Biology
experiment idea. I would prefer one that is not very common, yet not
overly simplistic or overly advanced. I would like a list of
approximately 5 ideas.

My coursework at age 17-18 (A-level in the UK) was rate of breakdown
of hydrogen peroxide in presence of catalase from potato (also present
in liver I think) and the next year was testing the hypothesis that
both eyes (binocular vision) is better for judging distance/depth than
monocular vision - stereopsis, etc. Maybe not the most advanced ideas,
but they were good for writing up as coursework, especially the vision
one.
Just to let you know.

hi..one of the most fascinating projects.. my undergraduate project...
was based on testing of two immunospuressant drugs on the rat distal
colon to try find a cure for patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
the project mainly focussed on analysing the contractions of the rat
distal colon in presence of addititve (cumulative) doses of
acteylcholine (which normally acts a neurotransmitter and alters
contractions). Though it involved constant concentration while
analysing results..it was worth the effort.

it is particularly interesting to write about how drugs actually work
to reduce the immune system and are used in certain diseases to
actually cure patients without giving them an overdose of it.

secondly...it would be quite interesting to study the different
patterns of transit time in normal and diseased patients example in
diabetics or patients with chronic ulcers etc.
