Please answer the folloing questions with step by step instructions.
My price is $20.00 for 17 algebra problems.

1. Find a linear function whose graph passes through the given points.
Throught (6,-23)and(10,-42)

2. Find the distance between the pair of points.
(-2,3)and(-8,-5)

3. Perform the indication complex number operation. Write anwer in
simplest form. (8 + 4i)(8 -4i)

4. Solve the system of equations.
   {3x -7y = -26
   {-5x - 3y = -30

5. Find a linear function whose graph passes through the given point
ad is parallel to the given line,
Through (3, -10); parallel to 9x + 7y = -22

6. Solve using algebra.
A chemist needs 190 milliliters of a 69% solution but has only 42% and
99% solutions available. Find how many milliliters of each that
should be mixed to get the desired solution.

7. A certain rectangle's length is 4 feet longer than its width. If
the area of the rectangle is 117 squre feet, find its dimension.

8. Shelly can cut a lawn with a riding mower in 3 hours less time than
it takes william to cut the lawn with a pushing mower. If they can
cut the lawn in 2 hoursw working together find how long to the nearest
tenth of an hour it takes for william to cut the lawn alone.

9. A certain rectanle's is 4 feet longer than it width. If the area of
the rectangle is 117 square feet, find its dimensions.

10. Find a linear funtion whose graph passes through the given points.
Through (5,-17)and(1,-1)

11. Find the distance between the pair of points.
(-2,-4)and(-10,2)

12. Perform the indicated comples number operation. Write answer in simplest form.
(3+4i)(3-4i)

13. Solve the system of equations.
{3x-5y=12
{-5x+3y=-11

14. find the linear function whose graph passes through the given
point and is parallel to the given line.
Through (2,-3); parallel to 4x=3y=5

15. A chemist needs 90 milliliters of a 39% solution but only has 9%
and 54% solutions available. Find how many milliliters of each that
should be mixed to get the desired solution.

16. C certain rectanle's length is 9 feet longer than it width. If the
area of the rectangle is 90 square feet, find its dimension.

17. Jane can cut a lawn with a riding mower in 2 hours less than it
takes William to cut the lawn with a puch mower. If they cut the lawn
in 3 hours working together find how long to the nearest tenth of an
hour it takes for William to cut the lawn alone.

I won't do your homework but here are some hints:

1) Put line in form of y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b the y intercept.

m = (change in y)/(change in x)

2) Distance = sqrt((x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2)

3) i is the square root of -1.

4) Multiply the first equation by 5 and the second by 3. Then add
them together and the x terms will drop out.

5) Parallel lines will have the same coefficients for x and y, but
what they equal will be different.

That's enough for now. Get to work.

With regards to hint 5, be careful, for it's the ratio of the
coefficients for x and y that will be the same, not the coefficients
themselves.

For example 3x+6y=24 and 6x+12y=12 (these equations are in 'standard
form') would be parallel, even though the coefficients for x and y are
different.

If you put these examples into y=mx+b form (slope-intercept form):

3x+6y=24 becomes y=(-1/2)*x+4 and
6x+12y=12 becomes y=(-1/2)*x+1.

That is to say, the lines are parallel when the slope (m) is the same.
