True, Pink, but in the most civilised part of the world, we buy PETROL
at the pump (for our vehicles).

GAS is piped into our houses for central heating.

And, believe me, our petrol prices are sky high compared with US prices.

And, don't forget, the US has a smaller gallon.

US Average gas price:

June 2003: $1.579
June 2006: $3.129
That is a 98% increase 
 
Average price for 2003: $1.705
Average price for 2006: $2.673
That is a 57% increase
