Is Usa World Showcase a legitimate venue for singers to be seen and
possibly signed by music executives? My husband was invited to perform
in November, but we must pay for all expenses. They list their address

The competition appears to be real.  However:

1.  The website leaves a lot to be desired - it certainly doesn't look
professionally designed.

2.  There is nothing on the site pages that indicates a possibility to
be signed up by music executives, although this is always possible if
they are observing or interested in the winners.

3.  I watched the auditions they had online and they seemed to be
'mostly children or young adults.  I did see one adult.  That doesn't
mean there weren't more adults, they had a small selection of
auditions to view on Quicktime.

4.  'Some of the sponsors' listed on the sponsor page are well-known
companies such as Blockbuster, etc.

5.  I performed a whois report and the site does check out as far as I could tell.
