It is well known that the Atkinson index uses an inequality-aversion
paramater (e). I've been told that the Gini index does as well.
Moreover, I've been told that the Standardized Gini is that Gini which
sets e=1. Is it true the the Gini index uses an inequality-aversion
parameter? And is it true that this is equal to 1? I'll need to be
directed to peer-reviewed literature. Thank you very much.
