I'll try to explain my question as clearly as possible!

I have a sheet in an Excel workbook that needs to have certain fields
protected by a password. The password is entered into cell K22 and
once entered is masked by a series of "#"'s. So masking isn't really
the issue. When the correct password is entered into the cell, the
values for certain drop-down selections change. This function works
perfectly.

That being said, when the correct value is entered into K22 (Say the
word "password", I want cells E7, E8, E10, J7, K7, J8, J9, K9, J10,
E15, E16, E17, E18, J15, J16, J17 and J18 to be locked to prevent
entering new text.

If the password is cleared or deleted, the fields will be changable. I
want to be able to do this while the entire page has Protection
(Tools>Protection) ON utilizing a DIFFERENT password than that which
is entered into K22.

I hope this makes sense!
