I am looking for information about public relations strategies and
techniques used with respect to water issues in the United States,
including issues of water quality, water supply, water shipping,
related environmental problems, and controversies related to
privatization of water utilities and marketing of water resources. I
would like to know the names of any specific PR firms working for
specific clients on any of these issues. For example: Who is doing PR
with regard to the water controversy in the Klamath Falls region on
the California/Oregon border? The Cadiz water project in southern
California? Efforts to restore the Florida everglades? The Intel
corporation's use of water for manufacturing purposes in New Mexico?
Issues related to the extraction and sale of bottled water by
companies like Perrier, Pepsi and Coca-Cola? What rhetorical
strategies are being used to frame these issues for public discussion?
Also, how have industry-funded think tanks or advocacy groups
(sometimes characterized as "front groups") weighed in on these
issues? Are there experts whom I could interview for answers to these
questions? Have relevant articles been published in the PR trade press
or elsewhere?
