I'm looking for databases (databanks) for Plant & Animal Information,
Attributes, and Characteristics. Googling for this I?ve found tons of
web sites (example: www.worldwildlife.org/wildfinder
) that have a little bit of information, however I?m searching for a
downloadable database or web service with world-wide animal and plant
information like. Seems like very generalize information like this
would be out there in the public domain. Seems like there would be
PDA?s out there for animal control officers and the such that you
could supply some of the information to identify species.
