I'm translating a Japanese patent application into English.  I can't
figure out the correct English spelling of two products of Nihon
Parkerizing Co., Ltd. I can only produce an approximate phonetic
spelling.  The first is a commercial zinc phosphate conversion
processing agent -- and the best I can come up with is "Parupond 3670
X".  The second is a commercial reactive soap lubricant -- and the
best I can do is "Paloob" 235. I need the correct English spelling of
these two products.

Hi frank2,

I have the answer for the first one, and I´m 80% sure I have the
second one, but the number 235 doesn´t seem to match with the product
I have found, can you please confirm that the number (235) is correct.

Hello THX1138-ga . . . 

Yes, it's something like "Paloob" 235 -- the "235" is correct (if you
have something for "Paloob", the "235" may be a new addition to that
line of products, given that this is a current application (as yet
unfiled, I believe).

Not to try and weasel something for free, but I did run across one
further commercial conversion processing agent made by Nihon
Parkerizing, i.e., "Parumet" 3855.  Hopefully, you could spot the
correct English spelling of that one too.

I´m pretty sure the first one (Parupond 3670X) is PALBOND 3670X

About Palbond:

other, and the Zn-phosphate undergoes hydrolysis, forming an insoluble
Zn-phosphate coating on the surface of the object.  It is widely used
as a pre-treatment for steel and other metals to provide corrosion
resistance"

The second one (Paloob) is probably Drylube

Hmmmm...."Parumet" 3855 is proving to be tricky.  What else can you
tell me about it? ie. what chemicals are involved? (what does it do?)

Hello THX1138-ga

"Parumet" 3855 is a Nihon Parkerizing product used to form a
conversion coating on some metal substrate (in this case, titanium). 
The basis metal (i.e., the substrate) is immersed for 10 minutes in a
25 g/L solution of this compund at 60 deg C. This process brings about
the chemical formation of a conversion coating on the previously
alkaline degreased and acid washed basis metal.  After this treatment,
the metal is rinsed in water, then treated with "Paloob" (your
DryLube) 4649C, and immediately dried to form a coating.  The idea is
to provide a certain amount of lubricity, because the metal is then
subjected to one form or another of plastic working.

Hello again frank2,

For "Parumet 3855" I have found "PALMET 3851" at what I assume to be
the Korean branch of Nihon Parkerizing Co.,LTD. and that´s the closest
'wording' I could find.
