Bluesox....

I recently moved and was advised to move out on the day my lease
expired ( eg: the last day of the month ) as that is the day the rent
is paid up until.

I would suggest contacting the Office of Rent Administration.

Rent InfoLine: 718-739-6400

It would be important to have a copy of your lease agreement when
contacting that administration.

Steph53, this may sound old-fashioned..but why not ask the landlord if
you can stay the extra day.. offer 1/30th of the rent (cash in hand
for the extra day.
