Years ago, BBC Radio broadcast a series of programmes combining the news events of a year with the popular music of the time, one hour per week for 25 weeks. This was a long time ago - I guess somewhere between 10 and 20 years. I particularly remember Carpenters Goodbye to Love playing alongside the Munich Olympics, Kent State and James Taylor's Fire and Rain, plus numerous references to RM Nixon. The series encapsulated the period from my youth to young adulthood and I would love to hear it again. $20 to track down a recording. |

I'm looking for copies of these recordings too. I had copies of 1966 - 1970 in mono, on cassette, but these have long since perished due to overplaying. Any help in replacing these, plus the other sixties, seventies and eighties episodes would be gratefully received. |
