Question ID: 740318
I have more than 12 years experience in 2D, animation and digital
arts. I am new to 3D though, and need to learn Maya (Alias, now
Autodesk) to create mainly character animation for TV commercials.

I need to find the best / fastest / most professional and most
adequate way to learn this software to be able to do what I need.

I will need:
- bests trainers / companies
- contact names/emails of professionals in the field willing to train me
- Best books / DVDs for character animation for TVCs in Maya
- Prices of each of the above

P.S.: Money is not really an issue.

Thanks and good luck!

For best educational DVD's on Maya, check the Gnomon Workshop at
http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com . They have dvd bundles as well, such
as the introductory series
http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/int_ble.html . Other than DVD's,
you can attend their classes listed in http://www.gnomon3d.com . For
Alias Maya, they have 10 weeks, 5 weeks and 1 week class options.
(Check "Digital Courses-->Alias Maya")
