Question ID: 740668
I am a recent owner of a 1996 Suzuki Across GSX250F motorcycle.
Recently, I have needed to do a bit of service work on it, and have
been looking to buy a service manual for this bike.

I have found scanned versions of the manual online, but the scans are
too poor quality, especially the photographs - I cannot make out the
parts that are pointed out in the pictures.

So I am looking to buy the actual physical, original (preferably new)
service manual (at a reasonable price).

This is a sportsbike. I have seen manuals for 1979-1985 GSX250E's,
which I don't think is my bike. But maybe my bike is known under a
different name in other countries. My bike is teal and black in
colour. It looks like this:

Hi glutinous-ga

I can see why you're frustrated. While I'm sure your bike IS a '96
model, the repair manuals I've found sources for are all only for
model years '92-'94! I did find one forum that mentioned a link to a
manual, but didn't provide the link, and didn't mention the year. From
what I've seen, you're not the only person who's been looking for one
of these, so I'm going to go ahead and give you what I found in case
it might be of some use. I'm posting it as a comment instead of an
answer because it doesn't fully answer your question.

Here are links to download copies of the manual for the earlier models:
GSX250 F (1992-1994)
http://www.dethlefsens.dk/besk_mc/suzuki_g...vice_Manual.pdf
http://home.iprimus.com.au/anthj/across/work_man.zip

Those links were found on a Singapore bike forum, here:
http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10141&st=180

which in turn was referenced on an Australian bike forum, here:
http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7655

In addition, here's an Aus site dedicated to the Across:
http://au.geocities.com/ozcross250/

with maintenance tips and forum archives here:

Pictures, description and specs here, on a UK site dedicated to the 250s:
http://www.250ccbikes.com/suzuki-gsx250f.html

Finally, here's a link to that thread on a New Zealand forum, where
one user (poster: slingshot, ref. id: celticno6, post #19) posted that
he had a link for that manual, but never gave the link. Maybe if you
joined the forum, you could drop him a line and ask:

It's often a challenge to find these shop manuals. I wish you best of luck!

Cheers,
Byrd-ga
