I live in Australia.

I bought a Motorola V3X mobile phone on the Three Network.

I saw Coldplay in Brisbane (end of bragging) and took lots of photos
and a few videos with the mobile.

I have a Mac Mini with OS X, Tiger.

I hooked up the phone to the computer with the included USB cable.

The Mac won't even recognize the phone.

So I want to copy the photos and videos to the Mac so I can edit, print, etc.

How do I do this?

thehumanoracle,

Unfortuneately I have the earlier version of the Mac Mini (only two
USB slots instead of four), which does not have Bluetooth. In any
case, I do have the USB cable with the phone to hook it up.

I tried iSync a few times. iSync recognizes the V3X, but it doesn't
copy the contacts from the mobile. iSync hasn't added any of the
contacts in the phone to the Mac's AddressBook application.

More importantly for me, iSync didn't copy any of the photos or videos
in the V3X to the Mac.

Still waiting for a solution.

First things first, congratulations on buying a mac! They rock....I
also have one (17" PowerBook G4) and also have a similar phone.

What I would suggest you do is use the bluetooth (I am assuming u have
bluetooth based on http://www.apple.com/macmini/whatsinside.html).
Its easy to detect devices using ur mac so set ur phone to
discoverable and set the mini mac off to detect devices.

Failing that when you are next in Melbourne I'll xfer them for you for
an extra 50 cents....LOL

Adam

If you have bluetooth on your Mac Mini, then just mount the phone via
the Bluetooth File Exchange utility (in the Applications -> Utilities
directory). You don't need the cable. You might also be interested

Hello.

Sweet. I wish I could go to a Coldplay concert... But I digress. If
you have OSX, then I believe you are in luck. I browsed the Apple site
and found that the iSync application connects to Motorola phones via
Bluetooth and/or USB.

Please give that application a try and see if it works out for you. Rock on.
