If you are creating CDs to resell, by law you must either:
* Use original material you've created
* Use material in the public domain
* Or pay the author/publisher of the work you want to reprint
In order to obtain permission to reprint material from an eBook,
contact the publisher of the work in writing. It is best to do this by
snail mail, although you can try doing it by email first. Explain who
you are, what your project is, and what material you'd like to use. Be
as specific as possible in explaining what portions of the original
eBook you'd like to use, quoting short portions, or stipulating page
numbers for longer excerpts. Include a self addressed stamped envelope
if you're sending this information by snail mail.
The publisher will either:
* Write back declining your offer
* Write back with a contract or a letter of understanding, stipulating
how you should pay for reprint rights
* Or, if the publisher isn't handling reprint right, give you a way to
contact the author (or his or her representative) so that you may ask
for reprint rights
