All of these questions are for Roman Period.
1. Explain what is meant by the "eclectric" nature of Roman Republic
art ? Name the influences. Give an example in architecture, describe
and explain.

2. Republican veristic sculpture: explain the background, who was
potrayed, who wasn't. Describe and explain the work, potrait of roman
general, who is the figure potrayed? what ideas are evoked through the
potrait?

3.Early empire: describe the potrait of Agustus. Explain the
influences and references in the work. Veristic or idealized? explain.
Where are its political messages? describe.

4. Describe the potrait of the four tetrachs. Explain the nature of
the sculpture and what it evokes. Include the loss of classical forms
and style, Diocletican, and the split of the Roman Empire.
