One of my wife's greatest wishes is to some day hold a chimpanzee (especially a young one, though I think any chimpanzee at all would be sufficient). Is this possible to do legally and (perhaps more importantly) ethically, and if so, where? | |

There are numerous primate research centers in the US. Perhaps your wife can contact one of them to see whether she could do some volunteer work. In the 1960s, when I was a college student, I had numerous encounters with chimpanzees at a primate research center. There's always work to be done at such places. |
