Does Bryan Clay have type-1 diabetes? He withdrew from Friday's
national champtionship decathlon in Indianapolis due to dizziness and
low blood sugar. Low blood sugar may imply hypoglycemia or diabetes.
What can you tell me?

Well, this is obviously a matter between him and his doctor. But
here's some thoughts...
1. New onset diabetes presents with high blood sugar, not low. So
unless he was a known diabetic and over-treated himself, hypoglycemia
is not likely to be a diabetes symptom.
2. You can be mildly hypoglycemic simply from being very dehydrated,
which it sounded like he was.
3. There are certain athletes who may want to give themselves insulin
for its anabolic properties...not making any implications whatsoever,
I don't even know who this guy is, just saying that it is done.
