My laptop computer Sony Vaio "PCG N505SN" (400MHz subnotebook:
http://666kb.com/i/af9qc8prnawh1vgv5.jpg) refuses to enter the BIOS
setup after I exchanged the hard drive (which I have done before with
no problems). BIOS 'P.O.S.T' does count RAM, detects the mouse and a couple of
other components -- but stalls after having recognized and displayed
the hard drive's name.

Swapping back the original hard drive did NOT help -- rather, above
problem persisted.
