I am 21, used to drink alcohol approximately 3 times a week heavily,
and used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. I also used to take
adderall sometimes along with drinking alcohol (between 5-20 mg a
night). I did this probably around 20 times over the period of 6
months. I noticed that after about the 10th time I did this, the next
morning I experienced a very strange feeling. My heart kept beating
rapidly (obviously still from the adderall) and I felt as if all the
blood in my face was drained. I looked and felt like I was going to
pass out. I didn't pass out and felt back to normal around 5:00 PM
that night. I used alcohol along with adderall again after that but
with lesser amounts of adderall. It didn't bother me again until about
a month ago, when I only took 5 mg of adderall with alcohol. Since
then, I stopped drinking heavily and less frequent, smoking, using
adderall, and drinking caffeine. Today, exactly one month since I
stopped, the pain in my
chest has become less frequent, but I notice that it will sneak up on
me sometimes. Out of nowhere, I will have shortness of breath, chest
pain, sometimes a numbness in the hands, thoughts of dying, basically
all the symptoms of a panic attack. I also noticed this happens even
when I have a small amount of caffeine(ie: chocolate candy bar), drink
around 4-5 beers, or exercise. I never had this until I started using
adderall. I don't think this is cardiomyopathy since it wasn't a large
amount of
adderall usage. I went to the doctor to get an ECG and a thyroid
activity blood test. I am awaiting the results from it, but was
wondering in the meantime if anyone else knew what could possibly be
wrong if nothing shows up from the tests.

Hmm... You WERE using an amphetamine, coupling it with depressants,
and then throwing a few stimulants into the mix. Cocktail of cardiac
destruction? I think so. But seriously, I am not a doctor, just
someone who kind of knows what you are going through. I used to use
adderall a lot. In my experiences thoughts of dieing and whatnot and
horrible nightmares did happen, and they sucked. And because you were
using such a potent stimulant such as these pills in a way you were
evoking your fight-or-flight response. I got panic attacks after
usage... may I ask, did you happen to do any benzos with this puree of
chemicals? Because word of mouth says that they can cause those
symptoms too.
