pigsinablanket,
I am going to post my answers to both your questions here. Please
"expire" your other question (
https://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=75465 ),
since I feel the fee for this one is enough to cover the research for
both.
After finding a picture of these, I can see why you want them -- they
are spectacular!
Holes Online of Canada lists them in their printed catalog:
http://www.holesonline.com/pdfs/fallbulbs.pdf
You could call them at Canadian phone number 780-419-6800 to see if
they are still available.
John Scheeper's catalog has them but says they are currently sold out:
http://www.johnscheepers.com/catview.cgi?_fn=Item&_recordnum=5800&_category=Tulips:Triumph
However, they likely marked these "sold out" when their supply started
to get low, so you might try calling them at 860-567-0838
(Connecticut) and ask if they would have some left over that they
could sell you anyway.
Von Bourgondien's online site shows this tulip in LAST season's
catalog: Triumph Tulip 'Sweety' (
http://www.dutchbulbs.com/cat/F2001/z31074.21300.html ), but you might
try calling them (they are closed right now) at 800-622-9997 to see if
you can "sweet" talk them into selling you some anyway; I'm sure they
did not completely exhaust their stock; they would have saved some for
future reproducing. I have ordered from Von Bourgondien's before and
was very pleased with the quality of their stock and their shipping.

pigsinablanket,
I am SO glad you were able to find a supplier of those beautiful
"Sweety" Triumph Tulips! Who'd have thought it would be such an
involved process to get them to the USA? (If I was still living near
the Canadian border, I'd just drive up and get them for you.)
You might try the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers:
http://www.cscb.ca/
There is a list of Calgary, Alberta brokers at:
