I was a bank teller many years ago and we were required to fill out an
IRS form any time someone had a cash transaction for over $10,000.
This is cash only, and does not include checks. There were several
ways for a customer to get around this, but we were not allowed, per
the law, to suggest how a customer could get around this requirement.
