Is there any notification that is sent to the IRS when a deposit of more than $10,000.00 is put into a bank account? If so, what is the notification? If not, is there any amount that would require the bank to notify the IRS of a deposit? |

I was a bank teller many years ago and we were required to fill out an IRS form any time someone had a cash transaction for over $10,000. This is cash only, and does not include checks. There were several ways for a customer to get around this, but we were not allowed, per the law, to suggest how a customer could get around this requirement. |
