I would like to find where a copy machine repair company can find
spare parts for a Konica 2590 copying machine. (The machine is no
longer manufactured.)

Speifically, where can a replacement for a toner shaft holder part
396076061 be purchased?

In addition, what other companies would be sources of spare parts for
the copier. I presume, because of the age of the parts, they would
come from cannibalized copiers, but perhaps they could also be unused
spare parts.

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

I called Precision Roller ( http://precisionroller.com ) on the
telephone ( 1-800-323-9523 ) and they told me that they can order
part number 396076061 for the 2590 (he called it a developer shaft
holder, if I remember correctly). It will be around $10.00 and
will take a couple of days for them to get. The representative I
talked to was very helpful.

As for other sources of parts, here's what I could find:

Precision Roller also carries other parts for the Konica 2590.
Here's how to see the parts they stock for that specific copier:

Visit http://precisionroller.com and login on the main page using
12345 as the Customer number, and Roller as the password. Click
on "Product Search". Choose Konica from the OEM pulldown menu,
and enter 2590 into the Model field, then click Search. You now
have to pick 2590 from the "Model:" listbox, and choose a category
from the "Category" listbox. Click "Search" and you're there!

Copiersales.com ( http://www.copiersales.com ) has many parts for
the Konica 2590. Here's the link to their Konica parts page:
http://www.copiersales.com/konica.htm

Touchstone Copier Parts ( http://www.copiertoner.net ) carries
parts for Konica copiers, however, they don't list which models
they supply parts for on their website. You would need to contact
them for specific information. Here's the link to their Konica
page:
http://www.copiertoner.net/konica_copier_parts.htm

Infinity Copier carries some parts for the Konica 2590:
http://www.galaxymall.com/office/supplies/konica.html

NA Trading and Technology
( http://www.natrading.com/web/index.htm ) sells parts for Konica
copiers, but their online catalog requires registration. They
have a toll free number at 1-800-231-8434.

Search Strategy:

Google search: konica copier parts
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=konica+copier+parts&btnG=Google+Search

Good luck,

This was an extremely helpful answer. After I told the copy company
what you had found, they said that they gave me the wrong part number,
that they could get that part and that I didn't need a new machine.
