I am applying to have my skilla assessed for permanent migration to Australia. I am a Registered Nurse (Child Branch)(RNCB) and also a Registered Health Visitor (RHV)and my registration is current. For my RNCB I did a four year degree and came out with a Bachelor of Nursing Honours degree 2:1 classification and a place on part 15 of the nursing register. I did a postgraduate degree to become a RHV and gained a first class honours qualification and a place on the Specialist Community public health nurses part of the English NMC REGISTER. However, a friend has informed me that the ANMC will not recognise my qualifications, because my first qualification is not as an adult general nurse and my experience is within paediatrics and neonatal care. Therefore because I am not a Registered general nurse and I currently work in the community within the sphere of maternal, child and family health my application will not be successful. IS this true? |
