I'm planning a trip of yellowstone which starts from Las Vegas and end
at Billings, Montana by driving (rent a car) from 8/5~8/11. However,
it costs much much more for the case of drop-off the rental car at
different cities. I plan to pick up the car at LAS airport (8/5) and
drop off at BIL airport (8/11). We will have six poeple, so we would
probably need a van.
However, the cost is very high. I estimated it as about 120 per day
(total~1000 after tax). Compared with the rate of drop-off at the same
city, it costs less than $400 to rent a mini-van for a while week.

I consider plan B. If I tried to reduce the days that we rent a car
from 8/7~8/11 (reduce the days of using the car), for some company,
the cost reduces to ~$650 but for some compnay, it costs even more per
day ~$158.00 and come out not saving many in total.

Could anyone give me some suggestions how to plan or where to get some coupons  
or which recommanded rental company so that I can reduce this rental
cost for my trip?
