Question ID: 742194
What "name" companies (Fortune 1000 or franchises...names that small
business owners would recognize) have taken their mainstream
products/services and re-packaged them to appeal to a smaller niche
for the Jewish audience? For example, Hallmark Cards started a
division publishing cards for ethnic holidays and has a line called
"Tree of Life" aimed at Jews celebrating Jewish holidays and events
(BarMitzvahs, Hanukkah, etc).

I am writing a report on why companies choose to market to Jews out of
all the many different types of ethnic consumer groups. I need to
demonstrate this choice by giving examples of traditional marketers
who are tapping into smaller segments, but, specifically, the Jewish
market. My report is for a Jewish newspaper. Thank you in advance

How many examples would constitute an acceptable answer?

3 - 5. Also, please stay away from Kosher references. While that
angle originally looked interesting to me, apparently the rise in
Kosher-approved food products from the food mfgrs is due more to
non-Jewish consumption than to reach the Jewish population. Go figure!

Sorry I was slow to respond. I thought I'd get an email if someone
needed a clarification, but I guess I have to check in each day. (This
is my first post.)
