Hi,

Amongst the papers of my late grandfather, Gerald C J Moore, are two
share certificates. I want to find out whether they are valid, and the
possibilities of a claim.

Details of first certificate:

No. D 040523 (presumably certificate number)
"Bearer share warrant"
Date: 02 Apr 1979

The share certificate incorporates 39 'dividend coupons'

There is no indication that the shares have been sold, or the coupons redeemed.

Details of second certificate:

5 acciones (shares) in Automoviles y Turismo SA
Titulo No. (certificate no.) 5881
Dated 29 april 1950

The answer to this question should include:

- Whether these share certificates are still valid
- The current market worth, if any. This should take into account
takeovers, stock-splits etc.
- The process for making a claim, should this be appropriate.

All information should be specific - general information about
investigating old share cerificates, though appreciated, will not be
considered a complete answer. Please don't hesitate to ask if any
further information may help your search. Cf.
http://www.globalnaturalresources.com/ as a starting point.
Good luck!

Bert
