Dear Hamedan, It's not easy to become an air traffic controller in the UK: "Most people enter via the NATS student air traffic control scheme at a college of air traffic control. Entry is very competitive and the selection process includes several stages of practical tests and interviews. The annual intake by NATS is usually about 120. The number of applications in any given year can exceed 5,000."
