Hello chrisgroom-ga,

A simple and effective way to put ads on your website is to use the
Google Adsense program. You can sign up for this program here:
://www.google.com/adsense The adsense program will analyze the
text on your website and show ads (image/text ads) that are relevant
to that page.

How can you make the most money? Well, you would have to experiment
with the many different programs that are available for website
publishers.

There are 200 pay per click affiliate programs listed in this
directory that you could choose from:
http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Promotion/Pay-Per-Click_Advertising/

If you would rather use a pay per lead, pay per sale model (you don't
get paid when someone clicks on the ad, but instead when they sign up
for a product or service) you should take a look at these programs:
http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Authoring/Webmaster_Resources/Affiliate_Programs/
If you prefer the pay per action model, I would try starting out with
http://www.cj.com because they have thousands of advertisers you can
choose from.

Please let me know if I can be of further service to you. Good luck!
