Looking for a digital download (legal, of course) or physical CD
(available for purchase online) that contains the song "Super Smooth"

Minucci. I've heard it used in films (Bowfinger), on the radio (Jack
FM), and at DJ'd events.

First of all, have you been able to get hold of a copy of the
soundtrack to Bowfinger? While that song is not listed by title and it
may not have made the cut, because of the category under which the
music falls (more explanation to come), I'd hazard a guess that
there's a chance it's on the cd as part of one of the tracks that
carries a scene description rather than a song title. Liner notes
might also be helpful. But if you've already tried this with no
luck....

It looks like Chieli Minucci and Emanuel Kallins have produced a
number of similar kinds of pieces for the Gotham Music Library, owned
by the giant BMG Publishing company. I found reference to the song in
a "library" of production music listed on BMG Finland's website. It
falls under the category "Just Jingles: Soft Sell 30's" (#48 on the
list):

Minucci's website, which is quite extensive, might be helpful. I could
not find "Super Smooth" in my quick browse of the site, including
looking for the title on the page of the site that provides clips from
all his cds (both solo and EFX music). However, in case I missed
something, here is a page of production music (with clips) that the
pair have produced:

There is also an email contact for Chieli on his website (see menu on
the splash page), and that might be a way to find out how you could
obtain the song, if another source doesn't surface here. Also, you can
check the website below, where you can buy individual tracks of his
music, including the EFX tracks, for download. Again, I did not see
this title, but I may have missed it:

Here's probably the reason that you hear/heard the song on the radio.
In a cache of a Google page no longer available, I found a description
of "Super Smooth" as a track from a CD called "Smooth Jazz Radio"
(Gotham Music Library GM-015). That song is not on any of the "Smooth
Jazz Radio" comps listed on Amazon, and this particular cd was perhaps
only availble to DJs. Sorry for the long URL, but the non-cached

That piece is not available to consumers/retail, since it was
specially written for a music production library, and only saw
daylight in the movie, 'Bowfinger'...  You can contact Manny XXXXXXX

some other way....
