Dear gawthrop-ga,

You set a quite challenging task. For now, there is no complete list
of Mosques in Bosnia posted in the Internet. Probably problems and
effects of the ethnic cleansing in the 1990’s are hampering such
efforts.

One alternative you can use though is www.islamicfinder.com, a website
that allows you to search prayers times and locations around the
world. Its search features allow you to narrow your search to the
country and even town. For example, go to the Country selector and
choose “Bosnia Herzegovina”. It will bring to the Bosnia- Herzegovina
page.

Now let me point something out to you. Notice in the green box below
and right an entry on “Federations of Islamic Organizations in
Europe”. Click on it and you will find contact information. You could
start there in querying about mosques in Bosnia.

Islamic Centers and Mosque List
http://abujasir.tripod.com/islamic-centers-mosques.htm

The above site listed the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Sarajevo,
Bosnia, but the link is dead. The department itself might have been
dispersed or moved. There are some mosques listed as well.

Theirs is website that seems to be in native Bosnian language, but it
seems Islamic.

You might also want to inquire at the Bosnian-Herzegovinan Embassy in
the United States at
http://www.bhembassy.org/

Here’s resume info, which contains some contact info, for Professor
Enes Karic, who was part of the Islamic Studies Faculty. I can’t
confirm if his contact information is still the same after 1998, or
even if he’s still alive, though.
http://www.bosanskialim.com/arhiva/alimi/enes_karic.htm#english

Try also online Islamic directories like www.islamicity.com,
www.islamonline.net, islamic-world.net, www.musalman.com,
www.al-islami.com and talkislam.com.

Google search strings: “bosnia mosque”, “bosnia mosques”, “bosnia
mosque list”, “bosnia mosque directory”, “islamic directory”, “islamic
mosque directory”.

Hope this works for you,

Hi, had a look at your question and have done a bit of digging around,
came accross some horendous documents about the war, not for the
squemish. Any way
the problem you will have is there are 53000 towns in the region, ans
about 1800 mosques were destroyed during the war.

But I did manage to find a list of all remaining mosques that have not
been destroyed, it gives details of the mosque, any damage and the
town it is in. I hope it helps you out. Visit the link

http://www.rijaset.net/CIA/EvidencOfCrime.htm

If you look about half way down the document you will see it starts to
list towns and the mosques in them.

Also have a look at:

http://www.haverford.edu/relg/sells/mostar/Mostartransition.html

And also, http://www.kakarigi.net/manu/moreinf.htm

Hope it helps

Good luck
