or could I use a USA web Host company.

Your web host can certainly be in the USA. It's common for people who
live in the UK to use USA hosting, and I do so myself. The domain name
server for your website's domain name points to the numeric IP Address
of the webserver, and that IP address can be for a machine located
anywhere in the world.

You could us a USA web hosting company. Although most hosting
companies in the USA only offer domains such as .com, .net, .org, if
you are looking for a .uk site you would probably be better off
choosing a UK company. Also, you will more than likely get a faster
connection using a server that is not over seas.

I live in the UK and use goDaddy (www.goDaddy.com). They are
definitely in the USA and I get charged each month in US dollars. I'm
not recommending them - just pointing out that they are a US web
hoster, I'm in the UK and I use them.

A quick google search for "cheap web hosting" finds
