Hi rewsnatghir-ga,

Digital Audio Broadcasting operates in the VHF (very high frequency)
and UHF (ultra high frequency) bands, and usable reception is unlikely
to be obtained beyond about 50 kilometres from the transmitter. On the
other hand, short-wave broadcasts operate in the HF (high frequency)
band, where world-wide propagation is possible.

The best way for you to listen to Spanish language broadcasts may be
by internet radio. For example, a search of the Shoutcast directory
for the keyword "Spanish" shows 25 stations, several of which
emphasize "Spanish Talk" and have bit-rates low enough to be used even
without broadband:

Google Search Strategy:

"dab radio" range transmissions km OR kilometres OR miles
