Dear Google Answers,

My husband fell in love with the Audi Q7 and I would like to rent it
out for him as our anniversary present. I live in the UK, and am
willing to travel anywhere in Europe to rent it. I only found one
company, elite cars, which has them, but they are rented out till end
of August. I need to rent it before July 20th.

Can you refer me to a car rental company in Europe which has the Audi Q7??

Thanks

Dear Basmam,

Let me start with Avis:

Avis Prestige UK has the vehicle for you:
Audis ---> look at the bottom, your Q7 waits there.
<http://www.avisprestige.com/rates/rates.php?make=audi>

Here is a list of leasing companies that have the vehicle and might be
willing to let for rent as well:
Contract, Hire and Leasing
<http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/cars/Audi/Q7/>

In Germany, I - too - could find only find:

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it.

Dear Politicalguru,

I was so excited to find your answer. But, I forgot to mention that I
was looking for the car anywhere in Europe, except the UK. You see,
we can't drive on the 'wrong' side of the road, it's still too
confusing for us! I tried to call AvisPrestige for availability in
other European cities, but they couldn't give me an answer. The other
sites require a minimum lease of 12 months, rather than a short term
rent.

You think you can help me further?

Thanks again,
Basma

Basma,

I will keep on looking, but it's going to be a problem. I have checked
places known for renting exotic cars, and haven't found any (except
what I've already given) in Europe yet.

Dear Politicalguru,

I know how hard it is to find this specific car, believe me, i've
searched the net up and down. I still have hope in your abilities
though :) Just let me know if you give up, and I'll rate your answer.

Appreciate your help.

Basma,

So far, I've gotten to an Audi spokesperson (!), who told me that he
doubts that any rental agency has it, because it has been released
only in the past two months. However, he did say that one could take
the car for a trial ride (and this might cost you nothing...).

Basma -

You should try the German site, since they do have this for rental.

My researcher went through great lengths to respond to my query...but
it doesn't seem to be available for the time being.

Hmmm, I am not usually in favour of a wife's supporting a husband's
second love, (especially as an anniversary present) but after looking
at those sleek curves, I can certainly understand him. ;-)

I don't know if these German rental car places will allow you to take
the car to England, or were you two planning to travel to wherever you
could rent one?

This site lists 23 vehicles in and around Stuttgart:
http://www.erento.com/mieten/suchindex/Audi+vermietung

In case you can't get an automatic translation, here is the link for English:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.erento.com/mieten/suchindex/Audi%2Bvermietung

The translation also works on the second page, after you click on Audi Q7.
Here you must click on "Standort" (location). The "de-70..." numbers
are postal codes to give you an idea of the location. You can find
them on this map:
http://www.stadtplaene.com/stadtplan.php?ort=Stuttgart&top=true&plz=70173&strasse=Schmale%20Str.%203&zoom=10000

Enter the dates and times for pickup and return, and then scroll down
and hit "weiter".

Of course, you have to sign in to the site at this point.

Good luck, and happy anniversary!

Myoarin, I understand your concern, but I'm only doing it cause I
know we can never affort to buy one :)

We wouldn't want to take it to the UK, I'm willing to travel anywhere
in Europe where it's available. I'll try to contact the German
company for more clarification.

Thank you so much for all your effort.

Glad to have helped. Politicalguru couldn't have missed the site and
didn't need my help.

IF it works out, think about driving south, nice country.
AND, if he wants to really try it out on the Autobahn, early Sunday
morning is best, or in the wee hours on weekdays, but watch out for
semitrailers trying to overtake. They aren't lit up like Christmas
trees and are only doing about 100 km/h, at best.

Cheers, Myoarin
