Please visit this link ... http://www.xyzyx.com/decoder_product.php#

There seems to be a clear plastic/filter that is used to see through
to decrypt the message. I would like to know how this is actually
done. I want to replicate the same in a design of mine. Any ideas??? I
have a feeling it has something to do with polarizing filters. I need
a concerete solution on executing this.

Since the site depicts a red filter being used, I assume that this is
simply a matter of tricking the eye with colors. Here are some
examples:

http://www.3dcompany.com/hidden.html

http://www.visionet.co.uk/Products/Instant_Win/Red_Reveal/red_reveal.html

When you look through a red filter, certain colors will seem to "drop
out" of the image, which will make the remaining colors (which spell
out the secret message) seem much more prominent.

There is an article here that you may find helpful. Scroll about
halfway down the page to the section whose title is FILTERING COLORS -

Dear pinkfreud:

The decoder I am talking about is the one below the red reveal. It's
the clear film decoders with Abraham Lincoln Picture being decoded in
the animated image. I just spoke to the company. The Encode the
message and give it to the customer as a Photoshop file to be printed
in black and white. The Decoder film is actually a proprietory "lens"
that they are using to decode the graphic. Is there any way of buying
decoders lens in bulk and encoding the image by myself is the next
question ...

thankyou for your comments, hope we can find some more answers to this.

This appears to be a physical implementation of steganography. See
the Wikipedia entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steganography for
more information.

I have no idea how to create a lens that does what they show in their example.

Do your homework - you may run afoul of patent protection if you
duplicate this functionality in your design.

Good luck!

Hello sphynyx:

I will loak at Steganography. But i have come across article that talk
about using lenticular lens for this kind of security printing. It's
lenticular for sure. Am just looking to find a supplier who will gimme
a better price option. Like for example this URLs:
http://www.3dimages.co.uk/focal_decoder.html seems to be far cheaper,
but they don't have an example on their website. I am doing some look
up on this, please watch this space for more clarifications from me.
And if you come up with some more providers do let me know.
Another link for same technology is http://www.rcmtechnologies.com/
but they need very large quanitities and no price mention anywhere.
