Thirty seconds of such repetitious playing is hardly likely to be from a piece of music. I expect that it was commissioned by Rolex, which probably would be cheaper that paying royalties for the numerous times the spot is broadcast to a very large audience. Also, an excerpt from a known, recognizable piece would detract from the impact of the visual ad: listeners wondering or knowing which piece/composer, maybe being frustrated, disappointed, upset by the choice or by its being broken off. |
