Question ID: 744311
In November of 2004, Chai Vang gunned downed six hunters in the
Wisconsin woods. He was caught and tried in a Wisconsin state court
for the six murders and the attempted murder on that same day of two
other hunters. He was convicted on all counts in September of 2005.

I want to obtain the court transcripts from his September 2005 trial.

How can I obtain court transcripts from Wisconsin state court cases?
Is there a fee associated with this? If so, how much is the fee?

Hi naresuan,

1) Before you do anything, you need to know which Wisconsin Court and
the Case Number.

To find out the Case Number and other particulars (where, when,
charges, sentences, etc.), go to the WCCA website and click "I Agree"

2) Click on "Printable Version" and make a copy. There you will find
everything you need to know to make further enquiries. Court staff are
required to help you and they will issue Case files upon request.
