Hi,

I use Outlook Web Access (v5.4 SP4) to access my company email via a
web browser when travelling. It works fine everywhere I've used it,
except at one client location.

When on their network, I can logon to my email server and read mail
without a problem using OWA. I can go as far as composing an email,
but when I hit "send", my browser hangs. I'm not using one of their
machines - I'm using my laptop on their network, so it seems pretty
safe to say that it has nothing to do with the configuration of the
machine I'm using. I should also point out that people from other
companies have the same problem when they use their laptops on this
network.

What's causing this? I'm guessing it has something to do with the
setup of the firewall on this network, but I'm not sure. Please
provide me with instructions I can give to the client as to what they
need to do to open this up.

Thanks.

iluvgoogle-ga,

I have had this same exact problem. I managed to untick "use a proxy
server" under Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings
OR alternatively add the address of the OWA server in the exceptions.
I believe some proxy servers will not allow authentication through
unless you have a direct connection to the OWA server it works fine.

Please let me know if this corrects the issue or not. Thankyou.

Best wishes,

I think the problem must be intheir network. So what uo must do is
taht first check if you can access your email form Outlook exprees
software or not. Then let me know the results.
