I am looking for suggestions (and URLs) for getting a Master's degree
online. The degree-granting body must be in the United States.

In my work situation, there is considerable pressure to get a Master's
degree. Amusingly, however, they genuinely don't care what the
Master's degree is in: they just want their employees to have a
master's degree in ANYTHING (for paperwork purposes). Chinese,
sociology, coaching -- whatever.

So fine.

Hence I am looking for places that will grant a Master's degree
relatively quickly without my having to do a lot of work. My fields
are English, ESL, literature, economics, and education, so I would
prefer that the degree be in those areas (mainly because I'm a quick
study at writing and reading), but it's not mandatory.

The degree must also be totally on-line, without my having to show up
for summer seminars or practicums in Kentucky or wherever.

Now, the colleges you recommend can't be diploma mills: they have to
be bona fide and accredited so that the degree will hold up to
scrutiny.

I'm basically looking to spend only a few hours a week and get this
over as quickly as possible. I realize I'll have to do SOME work, but
given the absurdity of the situation and my lack of interest I'd like
to get away with the bare minimum.

Mind you, I can easily find places online to get one's master's
degree, so to answer this question you simply can't send me links for
that. What I'm looking for is a college (and suggestions for which
kind of disciplines) that will get me an accredited M.A. with minimal
work and cerebration.

Taking the GRE, incidentally, is no problem: my scores are quite respectable.
