Recently, a male pal of mine in his seventies who is remarkably fit
for his age suffered concurrently from UTI (3 infections) and Sciatica
over a period of some 10 weeks.

Happily, both conditions are now OK: the UTI responded to antibiotics
and the sciatica was eventually fixed by a chiropractor after a physio
failed to effect a cure.

Both conditions started at precisely the same time which suggests an
association and, similarly, the UTI has so far failed to reappear for
a 4th visitation following the fix by the chiropractor.

However, I have not been able to find any association from any of my
(admittedly amateurish) searches.

What do you reckon?

(Subject to the usual disclaimers.)

Hi Crabcakes

My friend has now got the answers he required following a further
visit to the Chiro.

Hence, I'm now cancelling this.

Hi Bryan,

I have sufferred from recurring Sciatica for many, many years.

Sometimes it completely disappears but more often comes back,
sometimes for days, sometimes for months, at a time.

I was told my recurrences are caused by sitting/bending the "wrong way".

What does your friend take to relieve the excrutiating pain?

I highly doubt I would ever trust a Chiropractor to alleviate the
pain. When its in full bloom, I can't have ANYONE even close to my
back and body :(

Hope you get your answer. I'll be watching closely,

Best regards,

Steph53

Hi Steph

Sorry to hear of your probs.

I'll check with my friend & get back to you.

However, if you would like to come along to my studio, I could try hypnosis.

It may not cure the probs but ...

We sure could have LOTS of fun.

Hi Again Steph

I've spoken to my pal who's just come back from the Chiro. He feels
better after every visit.

Previously, he had been precribed painkillers by his GP: first
Paracetamol alone (which was useless) and then in conjunction with
Ibuprofen which provided relief but no cure.

The doc then recommended that he should visit a Physio, which he did.
She prescribed some light exercises; then ultrasound and finally
acupuncture. All provided some slight relief but no cure.

Then, on the recommendation of a friend, he visited a Chiropractor who
immediately worked her magic and he felt immediate improvements. Now,
he's virtually back to normal and feeling great.

He also sussed out the answer to this question which I'm now going to cancel.

BTW my offer of hypnosis still stands.
