I need to find out the size of the UK property investment market. In particular:

1. How many property investors are there in the UK? I'm particularly
interested in the number of private investors (e.g. buy-to-let
investors) involved in residential property investment.

2. How many residential properties in the UK are currently owned by
investors (e.g. landlords)? (as opposed to being owned by the
occupier). What percentage is that of the total housing stock?

I could really do with an answer today (Sunday) if possible!
