Hello,

I have recently become interested in bonsai. How can you not
appreciate the beauty of this art?

Anyways... as I have been researching bonsai over the past week or so,
I have seen so many different types of trees. It seems that everyone
says that the type of tree that I am looking at is the most popular
tree or it is a rather rare tree.

What I would really like is a few lists of trees so I can put the
issue to rest and I know what is what, as well as a tree
recommendation. If you could supply me with both the common names and
the scientific names, that would be great. I would like a list of the
25 most popular bonsai trees, the 25 most common outdoor bonsai, 25
most common indoor bonsai, and 25 trees that will live long healthy
lives either indoors and outdoors.

As for the recommendation for a tree..

Can you recommend a tree that can live both indoors and outdoors in
Michigan, other than a pine or juniper? It is such a cold climate
there, that it is hard to know what will do well both indoors and
outdoors there. I may be moving there and would like to know what
type of tree would be alright.

Thanks,
Wuala
